New music from Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke appears imminent, with a peculiar advertising campaign pointing listeners to a mysterious hotline.
As Pitchfork reports, ads for something called ‘Anima Technologies’ have popped up on phone booths in Milan, on the London tube and in The Dallas Observer newspaper.
The ads prompt listeners to call a phone number ‘+1 (916) 619-6192’ if they have “trouble remembering your dreams”.
When you call the number, the following message plays: “Anima technologies has been ordered by the authorities to cease and desist from undertaking its advertised business.”
After the message, a snippet of an unreleased Yorke track called ‘Not The News’ plays. He’s been playing the track on tour recently.
Hey #London folks! We think we have spotted part of an ARG on the tube this morning (Jubilee line).

A website for Anima Technologies also exists.
If you visit it, a popup says the site has been “seized by the Authorities” to prevent the company’s “serious and flagrantly unlawful activities.”
What a classic Thom Yorke move.
