Keep Your Fingers Crossed, Glastonbury 2019 Is Looking To Be The Hottest On Record

With Glastonbury 2019 kicking off this week, the UK festival is gearing up to host some of the biggest acts on the planet such as Stormzy, The Cure, The Killers, Liam Gallagher and more.

Taking place from Wednesday, 26 June to Sunday, 30 June, there may be some memorable omissions from this year’s resulting photo galleries. In previous years, you’d be hard-pressed to find a photo of someone not sporting a rekt pair of gumboots, but this year, things might be different.

As the weather forecast stands right now, it’s looking to be a clear weekend.

As reported by NME, Met Office meteorologist Aidan McGivern has said that it may “even be the hottest Glastonbury on record, with hot and humid air drawn north from Europe predicted to push Pilton’s temperature past the festival’s previous record of 31.2°C. That record was set at the last Glastonbury in 2017.”

You can expect temperatures to hit 25ºC on Wednesday, 28ºC on Thursday and then peaking sometime on Friday. Expect a cool weekend with a 25ºC Saturday and 20ºC on Sunday.

The BBC have reported rain in the lead up to the festival, but not to worry, that’s looking to clear up before the festival itself kicks off.

Maybe pack those gumboots just in case, you never know what will happen.
