Premiere: Dom Youdan Returns With Heartfelt Pop Ballad ‘Pockets’

Sydney muso Dom Youdan returns today with the heartfelt and sentimental pop ballad ‘Pockets’.

Beginning first by wrapping the listener up in a reflexive mood with its twinkling melody and sweet vocals, ‘Pockets’ quickly develops into an absolute pop-n-b groove, swirling with The 1975-esque euphoric-yet-tender production.

Youdan says the song takes inspiration from a close friend looking for catharsis as they navigated the ending of a relationship. “The song is built around holding onto the things we cherish dearly, whether they’re good or bad for us, and keeping them so secret that eventually, not even we can find them,” says Youdan. “It speaks to moving on but also struggling to let go.”

Dom Youdan will be launching the new single this Saturday 27th of July at Low 302 Sydney with Oly Sherman and James Campbell. Ticketing details below, but first, spin ‘Pockets’ right here, right now.
