The Avalanches are keeping their output in 2020 strong with the release of two absolutely colossal new singles, titled ‘Reflecting Light’ and ‘Wherever You Go’.
As per usual, the pioneering Aussie duo didn’t release the track alone but enlisted a staggering list of collaborators.
‘Reflecting Light’ features the voice of Sanandi Maitreya and samples ‘Glow Worms’ by Vashti Bunyan, which appeared on her 1970 debut album Just Another Diamond Day.
‘Wherever You Go’ sees multiple music icons jump on to bring the track to life, like Jamie xx and Neneh Cherry, with Sydney-based artist CLYPSO offering her instantly recognisable vocals as well.
These mark the third and fourth singles we’ve heard from The Avalanches in 2020, following ‘We Will Always Love You‘ with Blood Orange and ‘Running Red Lights‘ with Rivers Cuomo and Pink Siifu.
