It’s never too late to achieve your dreams, and it’s never too late to hang them up either. This is proven by Torben Ulrich, the father of Metallica‘s Lars Ulrich, who has just dropped his new album at 92 years old.
The album, titled Oakland moments: cello, voice, reuniting (rejoicing), was peeped on Bandcamp by Consequence Of Sound, and was released on Friday, 5th February.
Oakland moments is a spoken-word collaborative album released with cellist Lori Goldston, who people might recognise for her work with Nirvana on MTV Unplugged in New York.
Lars Ulrich congratuled his father on the release on Instagram with a photo of the two, writing “This is my dad… he’s the one on the left.
“92 years old and just getting started…Today, as one does at his age, he’s putting out another record… This one being a collaboration with his dear friend @legoldston.”
