Things are finally starting to get back to normal on the live music front, and today, regional NSW has copped a brand new festival thanks to the crew behind Strawberry Fields. Introducing: Good Times Festival!
Taking place in their hometown of Tocumwal, located on the NSW side of the VIC/NSW border, the festival will be nestled along the banks of the Murray River. The festival will take place on the Winter solstice on Friday, 18th June and Saturday, 19th June.
This family-friendly festival aims to provide Good Times through live music, art, food, workshops and local delights of the town.
The team have recognised the impact the Coronavirus pandemic has had on local tourism, so they’re hoping to draw crowds from Melbourne, regional VIC and NSW to help regain some of the losses their local economy has faced.
On the live music side of things, the festival have nabbed a bunch of Aussie faves to help ring in the shortest-sunlit weekend of the year. They’ll be playing at a bunch of venues around town, including the Tocumwal Memorial Hall, the Terminus Hotel, a popup Speakeasy Bar, and more.
Josh Teskey and Ash Grunwald will be bringing their new collaborative record Push The Blues Away to the stage, as well as Yorta Yorta singer/songwriter Benny Walker, Melbourne’s Cash Savage & The Last Drinks and heaps more.
Early bird ticket sales will kick off today at 9AM via the Good Times Website.
General tickets will be on sale next Thursday from 9AM.
