Ballarat-based indie-pop duo Odd Tastes are gearing up to drop their effervescent new single ‘IT’S ALRIGHT’ this Friday… and we’ve got your exclusive sneak peak down below!
Produced and mixed by group member Will Stephens, who plays in the band with his twin sister Georgina, this sun-bleached slice of indie-pop uses irresistibly catchy melodies, dual autotune-inflected vocals, verby guitar lines and playful electronics to capture the bright side of a relationship breakdown.
Will explains: “I was going through a breakup, but for some strange reason, I was taking it so well. I decided to capture this with this song. Simply, it’s completely fine when someone don’t like you, it happens.”
To coincide with the release, the duo will be performing a one-off single launch at The Workers Club in Melbourne on Monday, 14th June, after previously sharing the stage with the likes of The Smith Street Band and The Bennies, as well as appearing at Queenscliff Music Festival in 2019.
