Melbourne singer-songwriter D’Arcy Spiller has announced a new EP titled Disarray will arrive in August, sharing new single ‘K Karma’ to coincide. Co-written with Ali Barter and Holy Holy‘s Oscar Dawson, Spiller’s latest is anchored by lush pop production, full of energy and catharsis.
Lyrically, ‘K Karma’ calls for an antidote to humanity’s ignorance and mistreatment of the planet, warning Mother Nature will continue to exact her revenge should we fail to change our destructive ways. “Karma’s coming for us / We’re running but she’s catching up,” Spiller sings on the track’s deceptively infectious refrain.
‘K Karma’ arrives alongside a hypnotic video directed by Madeleine Purdy and the announcement of Spiller’s debut Australian headline tour. The run of dates will kick off in Brisbane on Friday, 20th August before continuing on to Castlemaine and Sydney, wrapping up with a hometown show at Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club a week later. Tickets are on sale now.
