Electronic instrument and software giants Roland have announced a partnership with Aussie Creative Industries institution JMC Academy. The partnership means Roland Cloud, the company’s cloud-based platform that offers over 50 authentic Roland soft synths and sound libraries, will be integrated across JMC’s campuses from September of this year.
For JMC’s students in audio engineering, music production, songwriting and more, it’ll mean being able to access the full suite of Roland Cloud virtual instruments – including legendary synths like the JUPITER-8 and JUNO-106, iconic drum machines like the TR-808, 909 and 606, music creation app Zenbeats and more.
“It will be great having access to the range of classic Roland synths and drum machines, giving our students not only the ability to learn how synthesizers work but use these great sounds in their own productions,” commented Kemo Bunguric, Head of Music at JMC’s Sydney campus.
Roland Cloud CEO Brendan Callinan says the company’s aim is to reach the net generation of music creators, giving them the tools they need to grow and succeed. “By partnering with JMC Academy, we are able to inspire students through education with both new and classic virtual instruments and applications that can help influence a future career in music.”
