A judge has ruled that Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme is allowed to FaceTime his two youngest sons, while his 15-year-old daughter Camille’s restraining order against the musician has been extended.
Earlier this month, a temporary restraining order was granted. The ruling meant that Homme is required to keep at least 100 yards from her and cannot make any contact.
As reported by NME, a court ruling yesterday dictates that the temporary restraining order will be extended until November, with a new court date set for 29th October.
His sons’ application for a restraining order were denied earlier in the month by two judges. Homme has now been granted 15-minute daily FaceTime conversations with his 5-year-old and his 10-year-old.
“I don’t think I need to warn anybody, but I will: If I get the slightest whiff that anybody is coaching these kids not to talk to their father, it would go down very hard with me,” said Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Lawrence Riff in court.
He echoed that it “would be a very bad thing” if Homme’s ex-wife Brody Dalle were to monitor these calls.
Dalle’s original restraining order application, according to TMZ, alleged that Homme “abuses [his kids] physically and emotionally with flicks to the ear, put-downs, threats against their mother/her BF and groping of the boys’ privates.”
Homme denied the claims, with his attorney saying “We believe [the restraining order] was filed in retaliation for Josh obtaining a TRO against [Dalle] for her physical abuse of Josh, among other things involving the children.”
