Rapper and proud Badtjala man Birdz has announced a national headline tour in support of his forthcoming album, Legacy. The tour behind the Melbourne-based artist’s second full length album includes solo headline dates in four states, as well as an appearance at Shepparton festival Land of Plenty.
Birdz’ new album Legacy is coming out on Friday, 19th November via Briggs’ Bad Apples Music imprint. It’ll feature the singles ‘Bagi-la-m Bargan’ (feat. Fred Leone), ‘Fly’ (feat Ngaiire), ‘They Don’t Know’ (feat. Thom Crawford) and the latest single, ‘Legacy Pt. 2’., with Missy Higgins.
“Man, after only playing a handful of shows over the past two years, I’m beyond excited to finally announce that we hitting the road at the top of 2022 for the LEGACY album tour!!” Birdz said in a statement.
Birdz has lined up a bunch of choice support acts to see him through the run. The tour begins at the Lansdowne in Sydney with support from Narli. The Ancient Bloods will support at the Brightside in Brisbane. Marlon X Rulla will join Birdz at The Lab in Adelaide. The final show, at The Gasometer in Melbourne, includes support from Jay Gabriel.
In addition to Birdz, the Land of Plenty lineup includes Ball Park Music, G Flip, Drapht, Bodyjar and more. Find more details of all shows below.
