AIR is the Australian Independent Records Association. The annual AIR Awards recognise and celebrate the success of Australia’s indie musicians and independent music sector.
The 2022 AIR Awards ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, 4th August, at Adelaide’s Freemasons Hall. The ceremony occurs midway through AIR’s annual Indie-con Australia conference, which runs from Wednesday, 3rd – Friday, 5th August. Full program and ticket details to be announced in June.
In the meantime, the 2022 AIR Awards nominees are here. The nominee pool shines a spotlight on a diverse pool of artists, including established acts The Jungle Giants, Courtney Barnett, Vance Joy, Tex Perkins, Angus & Julia Stone, and The Rubens, and rising stars such as Genesis Owusu, RedHook, Amyl and the Sniffers, Jaguar Jonze and Maple Glider.
