30 Seconds To Mars Announce First Ever Virtual Concert

30 Seconds To Mars have today announced that they, in partnership with VyRT and Ustream, will be selling tickets to the first ever virtual concert, or as they’ve described it, a “Virtual Social Concert Experience,” in recognition of the band’s 300th show. This new system is more than just a normal stream VyRT have promised, with users who purchase a VyRT Golden Ticket through the VyRt platform having access to stream the live broadcast on 30 Seconds To Mars’s Ustream channel where they can watch the concert, enjoy some as-yet-unexplained interactive features and share and connect with friends and other fans from around the world.

Speaking of the groundbreaking move, the band’s singer/songwriter Jared Leto said “creative freedom is a necessity, especially when it comes to innovation. Pushing forward into that space where art and technology collide and experimenting with new platforms like VyRT is exciting and inspiring. VyRT may indeed be a very important step in a much needed direction.”

The band are also hosting a week-long celebration around the event, called MARS300, for the band as well as their loyal family of fans The Echelon.

Digital tickets to the MARS300 concert can be bought exclusively at VyRt’s website for $14.99 and redeemed on Ustream with a purchaser’s unique code, with tickets available now.
