Having been announced on the lineup for Perth Festival last week, London artist Sampha has now revealed a full run of Australian tour dates. The singer and producer will play four dates across the country in February in March, in support of his acclaimed second album Lahai, which arrived in October.
The tour will get underway at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on Monday, 26th February, before dates in Brisbane, Melbourne, and finally Perth on Sunday, 3rd March. The Melbourne show will be particularly special, with Sampha bringing his Satellite Business in-the-round setup to the Margaret Court Arena.
Sampha: ‘Only’
The Satellite Business show – which has previously taken place in London and New York – will see Sampha improvise and rearrange tracks from across his catalogue, and play through some previously unheard material.
Lahai, the follow-up to his acclaimed 2017 debut Process, saw Sampha collaborate with a string of high-profile artists, including Yaeji, Léa Sen, Sheila Maurice Grey (Kokoroko), Ibeyi, and Yussef Dayes (who also just announced an Australian tour for 2024, and will be in the country at the same time as Sampha).
