Cub Sport have returned to the triple j studios for another crack at Like A Version.
This time, the Meanjin/Brisbane foursome delivered a goosebump-inducing rendition of cassö, RAYE and D Block Europe’s viral dancefloor heater ‘Prada’ for the weekly covers segment, slowing down the BPM as vocalist Tim Nelson hit some heavenly high notes.

“I love the life of this song,” Tim told the j’s. “Like the original came out in 2020 and then last year cassö just like basically doing a bootleg remix and then that going viral, and then the song getting a whole new life.”
While they were in the building, the Cubs also delivered a live performance of their own romance-fuelled electronic earworm, ‘Always Got The Love’.
It comes after Cub Sport were yesterday nominated for two gongs at the 2024 Queensland Music Awards, the Electronic Award for their song ‘Songs About It’, and the Pop Award for ‘Keep Me Safe’.
