Adele is suing a French tabloid magazine because they published fake photos of a sex tape they claimed to feature Adele. Now Adele’s lawyers are launching legal action against the magazine, which has a readership of around 3 million a week.
Adele’s lawyers issued a statement to Mail Online:
We are informed that the French magazine Public has today published images which it claims show our client in a sex tape.
Our client has not appeared in a sex tape as claimed in the article. Our client does not appear in the photographs.
Such claims are untrue and grossly defamatory. Our client is taking legal action in relation to this matter.
Adele recently denied rumours that she would be quitting music for a while, announcing she’ll be back in the studio in “more like 5 days”.
