During an interview with NME, Noel Gallagher has stated that he’d rather work with Blur frontman Damon Albarn then Radiohead.
When questioned on whether he’d rather work with Radiohead or Albarn, Gallagher said…
“If I was gonna make a record, it’d be Damon. For a start, he’s as mad as a box of frogs. Number two, he’d get loads of hip-hop dudes working on it, which itself would be fucking mental. And number three? It would be a better record.”
This preference may come as a surprise given the 15-year feud between the two frontmen. The fallout occurred in 1995 during “The Battle of Britpop”, which saw both Blur’s Country House and Oasis’ Roll With It competing for number one; Blur won.
Apparently, all animosity was put aside in October of last year after a chance meeting and a quiet beer
“It was a great relief. I’m glad I’ve seen him and shook his hand and apologised for all the shit,” Gallagher said.
Gallagher has been on a tear lately. Last month when speaking with triple j Gallagher summed up The Amity Affliction’s music as “Sounds like a dead turd”; then last week he suggest that multi-Grammy award winning artist Adele won’t last.
