Florence + The Machine have recorded a new song titled Breath of Life for the upcoming film Snow White and the Huntsman due out June, 2012.
The movie is a reworking of the classic fable, only this time it looks like Snow White is rather adept at swinging a sword. The film stars Kristen Stewart as Snow White, Chris Hemsworth as The Huntsman and Charlize Theron as the Queen.
In the behind-the-scenes clip, Florence explains that Breath of Life is “from the perspective of the Queen”, a character who literally sucks the life out of youthful fair maidens.
According to Gossip Centre, Breath of Life was recorded with the backing of a 60-strong choir. The film itself was scored with a 110-piece orchestra.
