Kanye West will premiere a new film project titled Cruel Summer at the Cannes Film Festival later this month, Consequence Of Sound reports.
Apparently, Cruel Summer is a creation of West’s recently-formed fashion + art collective ‘DONDA’ – which was the subject of his infamous Twitter tirade at the start of this year.
Consequence Of Sound believe the project is “unlike anything West has attempted before” and has been described as part short film, part art installation. The official poster for the film indicates Cruel Summer is being presented across seven different screens.
West served as director and co-writer of Cruel Summer, while comedian Aziz Ansari and rapper Kid Cudi also feature in the project.
Cruel Summer will debut at Cannes on May 23 and will remain open to the public until May 25. If you’re in France and feel like heading along, ticket requests can be made through West’s website.
