Swedish songstress Lykke Li has performed a new song at the Zürich Open Air Festival in Switzerland over the weekend.
Consequence of Sound report that the song – which is tentatively titled My Childhood – was the same one she premiered in her set at the Pukklepop Festival in Belgium last weekend.
They described My Childhood as a “breezy number” with “a Creedence-inspired guitar part and especially theatrical vocals from Li”. Watch the video of her performance of the song at the bottom of the page.
Li was last in Australia as part of last year’s Parklife lineup – but there’s no word yet on when she will return for some more shows on our shores.
In other news, Li was very busy lately, adding her talents to Peaches’ ‘Free Pussy Riot’ video – in an effort to get the Russian punk band out of jail in their homeland.
Acts such as Peter Bjorn and John, The Knive, The Hives and Mike Snow also appeared in the video, which was made after Pussy Riot were sentenced to two years jail for a protest performance outside a Russian Orthodox church in February.
