Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe joined fellow metalheads Cannabis Corpse on stage Friday night as part of a fundraiser for the legal bills stemming from his Czech Republic manslaughter charges.
Blabbermouth reports that Blythe and the band played the CC song Blunted at Birth as part of the event, which was held at the Canal Club in Blythe’s hometown of Richmond, Virginia. Fan-filmed footage from inside the pit can be viewed below.
Blythe is expected to return to Prague at the end of this year to stand trial for his accused role in the death of a fan at a Lamb of God concert in Prague in 2010. It is alleged that the punter was thrown off stage and that his death a month later was a result of the injuries he sustained from the incident.
Along with Friday’s fundraising show, Lamb of God have created an eBay auction of equipment and memorabilia to raise money for Randy’s legal bills. All equipment donated by the band in the auction was either used on tour, in the recording studio, or in a video. A number of musicians (including Machine Head’s Robb Flynn and Phil Demmel, Slash, Five Finger Death Punch, and Megadeth’s David Ellefson) have also offered items.
