Bob Evans – aka the solo moniker of Jebediah frontman Kevin Mitchell – will play shows in November to support the release of his brand new EP.
Titled The Double Life, Evans created the four-track EP with help from producer Dean Reid at Sing Sing Studios in Melbourne. The new music has been described as a set of tunes that “showcases a progressive pop sound and an artist brimming with new-found inspiration”.
The first single to come off The Double Life – Don’t Wanna Grow Up Anymore – hits radio and digital outlets today. It’s Evans’ first new offering in close to four years.
In support of the new single and EP releases, Evans has announced a unique and intimate Double Life run of tour dates. Kicking off in Brisbane on Friday November 9, the tour will see Bob Evans play in solo acoustic mode, showcasing brand new material as well as some well-loved classic Bob tunes. The tour then heads to Adelaide, Perth, and Sydney, before finishing up in Melbourne.
Tickets for the shows are on sale from Thursday at http://bobevans.com.au. Each ticket purchased automatically includes a copy of The Double Life EP, which fans can pick up at the shows. The main support for the tour is rising Queensland folk star Thelma Plum.
