After a self imposed two year lay-off indie rock wunderkinds Bright Yellow have re-emerged from the darker corners of the Central Coast and are preparing to take up where they left the local scene in 2007 when their debut EP ‘Love’s Not a Comfort’ saw the band riding high with major support from triple j and community radio for their songs ‘Nice and Agreeable’ and ‘Please’.
With a new limited edition EP Clean set for release on Tuesday September 1, Bright Yellow have used their time away to hone their sound, jamming wildly in garages and dilapidated houses, pushing their boundaries to forge a new direction – both vital and visceral.
Clean will be released via iTunes on September 1 and be available as a limited edition hard copy direct from the band and gigs. Bright Yellow will support the release of Clean with their first major tour in over two years. Taking in 14 shows through September and October they will look to re-connect with their original fan base and play to a legion of new devotees through New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania.
Already working on their debut album for release in 2010, Bright Yellow have been together playing music from their heart and soul since their early teens….nothing has changed!!
