Just how many times will they be asked about a reunion?
That’s the question everybody is pondering as the three surviving members of Led Zeppelin prepare to be grilled by David Letterman on his popular talk show on Monday night.
John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant will do a joint interview with the American talk show king on The Late Show with David Letterman. The appearance is scheduled the day after they are honoured at the 35th Annual Kennedy Center Honours in Washington.
Unless heaven and earth is moved, the band won’t be performing on the show (another musical act is booked). It’s not surprising considering that the band deflected all reunion talk at the press conference for the launch of their Celebration Day CD and DVD set in October.
Until then, Robert Plant’s tour in April with his new band, the Sensational Space Shifters, can tide fans over somewhat. Along with headlining the Byron Bay Bluesfest, earlier today, Plant also announced a series of sideshows around the country.
