Melburnians can indulge in a funky mix of deck chairs, astroturf, street art… oh, and some smooth music when The Garden Party makes its debut in late January.
FasterLouder reports that the venue will be located in an abandoned lot behind the Melbourne Recital Centre in Southbank, and stage events on Friday and Saturday nights from 6pm, and late Sunday afternoons from 3pm.
Among the big acts locked in to perform at the venue are The Bamboos, who headline the opening night on Friday, January 25 (Australia Day Eve) and Gurumul, who will play with Tinpan Orange and Mia Dyson on Sunday, February 10.
Tickets will cost between $35-45, and there’ll be food and drinks available on site as well. For more information hit up the Melbourne Recital Centre website, or watch the video below.
