It’s certainly been a Josh Homme morning here at Music Feeds HQ.
After appearing in a very amusing mockumentary video that took us on a tour of Queens of the Stone Age‘s recording studios (where they’re currently making their new record) Homme has now also turned up in a set of recordings that Pearl Jam gave their Ten Club members for Christmas.
The recordings were taken from Pearl Jam’s P20 Music Festival, which they held as part of their 20th birthday celebrations in Wisconsin last year. With frontman Eddie Vedder declaring him “the champion of the world” at the end of the performance, Homme joined the band to bash out In the Moonlight, a B-side on 2000’s album Binauaral. Take a listen to the track at the bottom of this page.
The other live track that Ten Club members got their hands on was All Night, featuring Joseph Arthur, Liam Finn and Glen Hansard.
Pearl Jam are rumoured to be doing a scattering of festival appearances this year – they’ve already been locking in for Lollapalooza in Brazil and Chile in late March and early April. They were also heavily tipped for the opening night of the UK’s Download Festival; however, Slipknot took their headlining spot for that.
