Those of you already familiar with Gary Clark Jr. know that the man is a bona fide guitar god with a singing voice for the ages. Those of you unfamiliar, prepare to be transported. Gary Clark Jr recently visited Music Feeds Studio for a breathtaking intimate solo performance of his single Bright Lights from his major label debut Blak And Blu.
After the performance, the impossibly cool Clark Jr. spoke with Music Feeds about transforming the guitar from a tool of songwriting to an instrument of expression, and the focus and stubbornness required to become a master of his trade. Gary also spoke on what makes the blues such a powerful form of music and shared some of the highlights he’s experienced since the release of Black And Blu.
Currently touring around Australia as part of Big Day Out 2013 and having played headlining shows in Sydney and Melbourne, local fans still have the chance to experience the young musician’s timeless sound.
