Melbourne experimental/electro four-piece City Calm Down are back on our screens – releasing the video to their new single Sense of Self.
And it’s a pretty weird one too. The clip features one main character in a variety of settings: she wakes up on a mattress in a parking lot, and then proceeds to spend most of the remainder of the video waving her hands around and twirling all over the place.
She creates a ‘finger gun’ and ‘shoots’ a cab driver, resulting in feathers flying everywhere. A little bit later on, she does the same thing again, summoning a bearded guy who is calling out for her underneath a major road overpass. They end up at his place, and the gun is brought out after she appears to fall to the floor after a bit of a fight.
Trippy eh? Anyway, watch the clip below and make your interpretations of it. The band’s debut EP Movements is out now.
