The Sydney music scene was introduced to the four inner-city lads from Sailmaker with the release of their first EP ‘Build A Fire’ back in June 2008. The release of this EP resulted in radio play on triple j, FBi and various local radio stations across the country.
Fast forward one year and Sailmaker find themselves in their own project built studio tracking not one but two EPs. With multi award winning producer Paul McKercher guiding the somewhat rocky boat, Sailmaker has finally completed the voyage. Their first EP, BEG, is a true indie pop delight and will be released on 25th September.
Over the course of a six month period there will actually be 3 EPs for release – BEG, BORROW and STEAL. This is the process the band have literally gone through in producing the EPs, resulting in a real concept which amplifies the band’s true independent spirit.
