In the wake of today’s tragic Boston Marathon bombings, the music community has rallied together to demonstrate support for the victims and the family of the deceased. Fall Out Boy, who have a performance scheduled for the city for Sunday, 26th May have promised that they will be donating the proceeds of ticket sales to those who have been affected.
The band announced the move in a recent statement where they express their hope that “these songs will make some people feel better today”. The band’s recent comeback album Save Rock And Roll was released in the States at midnight last night, mere hours before the attack.
The arena show is set to take place at Boston’s renowned House Of Blues.
There has been an outpouring of grief and a show of support for Boston from the music community today, including by some members who were involved in the event. As previously reported, New Kids On The Block member Joey McIntyre was participating in the marathon and finished a matter of minutes prior to the explosions.
