Melburnian rock outfit The Delta Riggs have released footage of their stay at La Casa where they began the writing process for their latest single America, as well as announcing a bunch of tour dates in the process.
“We really wear our hearts on our sleeves when it comes to the music we enjoy playing,” says frontman Elliott Hammond, before giving us a bit of back story of how the band got together and the influence that discovering punk rock as teenagers had on the band members’ lives during the La Casa vid. The band began penning America during their stay at La Casa, and we see them jamming on the song for the first time.
It’s been a hectic year for the group, with the release of their debut LP Hex.Lover.Killer back in April, as well as supporting LA duo Deap Vally on their Australian tour.
The Delta Riggs have also just announced an Australian tour supporting the release of America, with the quintet hitting the road this September and October to play gigs all up and down the east coast.
Tickets are on sale from 9:00am AEST on Thursday, 8th August.
