For The Fallen Dreams Singer Seriously Injured In Motorcycle Accident, Australian Tour Cancelled

What was one of the most anticipated metalcore shows of the year has hit a snag, after For The Fallen Dreams today announced that they would be unable to perform following serious injuries sustained by vocalist Chad Ruhlig in a motorbike accident.

For The Fallen Dreams have issued a statement via management, explaining that the accident has left Ruhlig wheelchair-bound for at least the next two months and potentially in need of surgery:

“He will find out soon if surgeries need to be scheduled on his leg, which has suffered the most damage from the crash. Needless to say, he is unable to fly, or perform with the band on these dates.”

Artery Recordings have announced their “deep regret” at the cancellation via Facebook, assuring ticketholders that the tour, which also features The Plot In You, Storm The Sky, Fit For A King and many local supports, will still go ahead, though venues will be downscaled to compensate for the loss of FTFD from the bill.

Ticketed shows have been repriced to $25.50 + booking fee, and it’s been stated that shows which have been moved to smaller venues will be refunded. Refunds for other shows are also now available from the point of purchase.

Below you can find the amended list of dates and venues for the tour, as well as the full statement from For The Fallen Dreams. Head over to the official Facebook event profile for more information
