They might be gearing up to head out on the Tsunami Of Metal North American tour with peers Unearth, but Sepultura have managed to find the time to release their new single Age Of The Atheist, the first from upcoming album The Mediator Between Head And Hands Must Be The Heart.
Fans of the long-lasting Brazilian metal outfit are sure to have a solid idea of what to expect from a new offering, so the sheer level of evil dwelling within the dark scales of Age Of The Atheist shouldn’t be too much of a shock.
Anyone who detects hints of the 1996 blockbuster album Roots are onto something, as the band have once againg teamed up with that album’s producer, Ross Robinson.
The Mediator Between Head And Hands Must Be The Heart is distinguished from other Sepultura releases by the accompanying fan-funded documentary. The film is expected to contain footage from the recording process behind 2011’s Kairos, and a behind-the-scenes look at life on the road in support of that release.
Age Of The Atheist will be released both digitally and as a coloured vinyl. The single will come with a bonus cover of Death‘s Zombie Ritual. Australia can expect The Mediator Between Head And Hands Must Be The Heart to drop on 25th October.
