Everyone’s favourite Aunty Meredith has finally unveiled the lineup for Golden Plains 2014, which sees the event entering its 8th instalment. All killer, no filler, Golden Plans 8 will feature Public Enemy, You Am I, Flying Lotus, Neko Case, and Yo La Tengo just to name a few!
Organisers are “beyond honoured” to confirm that Public Enemy will be filling the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre with their OG beats of yore. That is, of course, after seminal Aus-rockers You Am I and production mastermind Flying Lotus take the stage.
A hit of brass will be served by Kiwis Fat Freddy’s Drop, while Aussies Cut Copy will ensure every one will help punters get their dance on. Fans will also witness the return of the “Heavyweight Champion of Rugged Soul” Charles Bradley And His Extraordinaries.
The heavy-hitters keep on coming at Golden Plains 8, with a performance from Adalita alongside sets by Chat Faker, Hiatus Kaiyote, Seekae and King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard. Nicely played, Aunty Meredith.
Tickets are available via ballot, with eager fans able to sign up via the official website. A strict “No Dickheads” policy means everyone is on equal terms, which goes hand-in-hand with the absence of VIP packages. It’s just good ol’ General Admission.
