The beloved annual Boys Of Summer tour is starting to take shape with the first round of artists confirmed for next year’s event being announced today. Even though just three bands have been announced, it’s given us more than enough confidence to say this is going to be on helluva gig.
Kicking off the first announcement is scene royalty Blessthefall. Aussie fans have been treated well by this band, who have made their way down for festivals and their own headlining runs in the past. Known for their powerful live performance, Australian kids are STILL talking about that time they actually made it rain indoors with their infamous Sprinkler Of Death. Yeah, that happens. Of course, this time they’ll have a new album, the recently released Hollow Bodies.
Like Moths To Flames have also thrown their support into the long-running event, bringing themselves and their beast of a current album An Eye For An Eye. Nothing if not total sonic chaos, Like Moths To Flame are sure to have the pit pumping and kids screaming every single word back at them.
Capping off the first announcement is post-hardcore dons The Color Morale who also have a brand new album to demonstrate for us which is sure to include a performance of current fan favourite Learned Behavior.
Tickets go on sale next Thursday, 31st October at 9:00am.
Update 20/12/13: Supports for each show have now been announced as well as venue changes in Newcastle and Sydney.
UPDATE 03/01/14: Like Moths To Flames have dropped out of this year’s Boys Of Summer tour, to be replaced by Prepared Like A Bride. Full details here.
