Phoenix Release Sofia Coppola-Directed Clip For ‘Chloroform’

The creative/actual love affair between Sofia Coppola and French four-piece Phoenix grows stronger, with the two parties collaborating on the latest video submission from the four-piece, Chloroform.

Chloroform oozes the style and class you’d expect to see from such a collaboration. Coppola, wife of lead singer Thomas Mars and director of such films as Lost in Translation and The Bling Ring, has opted for a dark setting but wields a secret palette of contrast creating a minimal but by no means underwhelming music video.

For the narrative, the band find themselves in a position they’re probably all too used to these days – performing in front of a horde of gushing female fans unable to contain their emotions.

Phoenix updates could not be more relevant for us right now given that the band will be performing as part of Future Music Festival in the near future. The band will be embarking on their Aussie sojourn in support of their current album Bankrupt!.

The visually stunning video can be watched over at MoMA
