In an unexpected yet thoroughly entertaining pairing, everyone’s favourite anchorman, as played by Will Ferrell, and Robin Thicke have teamed up for a rousing cover of Christopher Cross‘ ’80s classic Ride Like The Wind, complete with Ron Burgundy flute solo.
Thicke does most of the heavy lifting, crooning away to the smooth beat, all the while Ferrell provides the punchy Burgundy-esque asides. As Thicke sings “I was born the son of a lawless man,” Burgundy responds “You mean Alan Thicke?”
It’s another instalment of the long-winded marketing campaign leading up to the much anticipated Anchorman sequel which hits cinemas December 19. This anthem will feature on soundtrack, which drops on 17th December, along with tracks from Neil Diamond, Captain & Tennille and Hot Chocolate.
