Courtney Love has sparked rumours of a Hole reunion, after posting a photo of herself looking gleeful with founding member and lead guitarist Eric Erlandson, with whom the artist previously shared bad blood. Attached was a missive reading, “2014 going to be a very interesting year.”
Love and Erlandson formed Hole in 1989 after the guitarist responded to an ad Love placed in a local paper. After disbanding in 2002, bad blood ensued between the two artists, with Love claiming Erlandson stole a number of guitars from her, including some which belonged to Kurt Cobain.
In April of 2012, the two reunited with drummer Patty Schemel and bassist Melissa Auf Der Maur for an onstage two-song jam at an after-party following a screening of Schemel’s documentary, Hit So Hard. This marked the first time in 15 years that the four members had been onstage together.
Amid solo dates and working on her upcoming book, Love recently said via her Facebook page (as reported by Contactmusic) that she would spend 2014 “letting alot (sic) of grudges just go,” though in reference to romantic relationships, adding, “its important to leave romances nicely.”
