A new boutique music festival will land on Sydney’s Centennial Park this Sunday 23 March as Lost Picnic aims to bring a new kind of experience to Sydney’s festival circuit. Punters can enjoy the sounds of talented local musicians in style, while at the same time savouring quality food from the country’s top chefs.
ARIA & APRA award winning Megan Washington, who is about to release her her first single in more than 2 years, five-piece alternative rock band The Rubens, Queensland songwriter Emma Louise, Triple J unearthed artist Dustin Tebbutt and indie folk band Sons of the East will all play at this new boutique event.
No need to fear that sloppy festival food any longer, organisers of Lost Picnic are breaking the mould, teaming up with successful local restaurants to offer festival-goers gourmet picnic hampers. Some of the country’s top chefs the country’s best restaurants have helped put together themed menues for the hampers, designed to be enjoyed with friends.
Director of the event, Simon Beckingham, says this new event marks an evolution in the Sydney festival scene. “Lost Picnic is exactly that, a boutique-style event that not only supports local musical talent but local restaurants, to offer a completely different experience to the Sydney entertainment calendar.”
Lost Picnic tickets are on sale now. First release tickets are priced $89 and the gourmet hampers serving 2-3 people cost $69 and will be available from 15 January, 2014.
