Here’s Your Excellent First Look At ‘Bill & Ted Face The Music’ (Including Kid Cudi)

In positively excellent news, the first images from the forthcoming Bill & Ted Face the Music have been released.

The third instalment in the Bill & Ted series is scheduled to hit theatres in August of next year, arriving almost three decades since the last iteration, 1991’s Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey.

The images show Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves reprising their roles as Californian slackers Bill and Ted respectively.

They also show fresh faces like Kid Cudi, who’ll be playing himself, along with Brigette Lundy-Paine and Samara Weaving who play Ted’s daughter Billie and Bill’s daughter Thea. William Sadler is also reprising his role as Death.

According to the film’s official synopsis, Bill & Ted Face the Music finds the titular characters as now middle-aged best friends, still yet to “fulfil their rock and roll destiny” when a visitor from the future “warns them that only their song can save life as we know it.”

“Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends — to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe.”

The film’s script was written by Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, both of whom developed the scripts for the first two Bill & Ted instalments.
