Julian Assange, the founder of wikiLeaks has lost his appeal against extradition to Sweden to face rape allegations. Swedish police want to question Assange on the alleged rape of one woman and the molestation of another.
Assange claims he is completely innocent of the charges he faces and that the allegations against him are politically motivated to bring down wikileaks. He was at the court today to hear the verdict.
Assange, who has been under house arrest over the past year, may have the right to appeal to Britain’s Supreme Court, but it’s not clear yet if that will be the case.
