Watch The First Trailer For Anthony Bourdain ‘Roadrunner’ Documentary

The first trailer for the Anthony Bourdain documentary has arrived. Roadrunner is a doco created by award-winning filmmaker, Morgan Neville that’s due to hit cinemas next month.

Roadrunner: A Film About Anthony Bourdain will tell the story of the celebrity chef, “in his own voice and in the way he indelibly impacted the world around him.”

It’s set to combine footage from Bourdain’s cooking shows and docos with behind-the-scenes clips, home videos, and interviews with Bourdain’s closest friends, colleagues, and crew.

Restauranteurs David Chang and Eric Ripert, longtime producer Tom Vitale, and The Kills’ Alison Mosshart are each interviewed for the film.

“You’re probably going to find out about it anyway. So, here’s a little preemptive truth-telling… There’s no happy ending,” says Anthony Bourdain, opening the trailer.

The documentary will hit cinemas next month on Friday, 16th July.

A few months ago, it was announced one of Bourdain’s books would be adapted into a TV series.

His crime novel Gone Bamboo will be getting the TV treatment.

There’s no word on casting or a release date just yet though.

Bourdain died tragically by suicide on the 8th June in 2018, at the age of 61.
