Currently in the middle of a tour supporting Destroy All Lines, Melbourne post-hardcore outfit Void Of Vision have been on a steady rise since landing on the scene in 2013 with a well-received debut EP last year and brand new single SUN//RISE dropping last month alongside an epic music video.
Lead singer of the talented five-piece, Jack Bergin, found some time on the road to answer some quick questions from us, on everything from latest single SUN//RISE and what to expect next from the guys.
Music Feeds: I’ve always wondered; how do you realize you can sing heavy metal?
Jack Bergin: I just kind of just do it.
MF: Void of Vision appeared on the music scene in 2013, what lead up to the band’s debut?
JB: What was initially supposed to be Matt recording James and Mitch’s old band turned into an entirely new project. We wasted no time getting into the swing of things and began relentlessly writing music and playing every show we could to get ourselves out there.

MF: Your latest single SUN//RISE already has a really positive response, what’s the story behind this song?
JB: We wanted to release a track that showcased a completely different side to the band, and I feel like the positive response we got from it is a good indication of how new material will be received.
MF: How are you all feeling in the lead up to your national tour dates?
JB: We’re all super excited and in the midst of preparing everything for the run. Can’t wait to finally get back out on the road!
MF: Is there any show that you’re particularly looking forward to performing at?
JB: We’re definitely looking forward to our hometown Melbourne shows, but over that, we can’t wait to get back to Brisbane.
MF: How different is it to perform these songs live rather than recording them?
JB: Very different. We definitely feel the passion translates to a different degree live, and we also feel the crowd can connect on another level with us live as well.

MF: What can fans expect next music wise; is there anything in the pipelines?
JB: There is definitely stuff in the pipelines, a release is currently being worked on, but I don’t want to give away too much.
MF: And just for fun, do you have a favourite song that you think would surprise people? Something unexpected against your own music, maybe.
JB: The Bear Necessities, The Jungle Book Soundtrack
