The 411:
MANE (aka Paige Court) is a songwriter from Adelaide who has emerged as one of the city’s most engaging and entertaining young artists in recent years. A blend of brooding lyrics with emphatic and evocative arrangement positions MANE as a bit of an old soul with a young perspective.

Her brand new EP Coping Mechanisms is a collection of observations and reflections on what has been a series of tough times for MANE but as it is for many musicians, music has been a vessel for solace and healing, as well as creativity.

Early inspirations like Leonard Cohen and Joni Mitchell were worn proudly and as she continued to thrive as a songwriter and performer over the last few years, MANE has joined a wave of talented Australian songwriters like Hatchie, Gordi, and Angie McMahon in penning some poignant tracks, delivered with heart.

Live Dates:

Friday, 11th December
Jive, Adelaide
Tickets: Moshtix

Review:
MANE combines danceable sounds with deep, reflective lyrics on Coping Mechanisms. Songs like ‘My People’ show off her ability to craft a hook while she offers deeper ballads in tracks like ‘In My Mind’. The songwriting is reminiscent of Angie McMahon while MANE’s stunning vocal ability reminds us of strong vocalists like Montaige.
