The 411:
Since their inception in 2011, Sydney dark synth rock outfit The Bright Young Things have continued to grow in both size (literally going from a duo to a five-piece) and sound; a point perfectly encapsulated by their freshly minted album Ghostly Confidence.
The LP, which just dropped this week, was produced, engineered and mixed in house by the band’s bassist Rich Mammoliti at Black Wall Studios and mastered at Studios 301 by Steve Smart (Vance Joy, Tash Sultana, The Living End).
Listen to the LP below, and stay tuned to the band’s socials to keep up to date with their forthcoming national tour plans.

Our Review:
Mesmerising synth soundscapes collide with intricate guitar lines and brooding vocal layers on The Bright Young Things’ lush, new-wave inspired pop songbook, which somehow still manages to deliver warmth and comfort as it invokes feelings of sweet melancholy and aching nostalgia. Ghostly Confidence is as haunting and powerful as its name suggests.
