Music Feeds Podcast Episode #31 – Bluejuice

Known for making hilarious jams with musical integrity, Bluejuice have become one of Australia’s most beloved bands. For reasons why, you needn’t look any further than their current single S.O.S and its video clip which actively campaigns against the common douche bag.

It takes a seriously rare type of dude to wage such a war, so Music Feeds caught up with professional voice-boxist, and all round good sort Stav Yiannoukas to find out where all this creative fire is coming from.

The track itself has an interesting story behind it, with S.O.S originating as a song for a former outfit The Break Up, with the track re-jigged to be more suitable for Bluejuice’s vibe. Stav explains that the clip is loosely based on the track, but only as much as the Act Your Age, Vitriol and Broken Leg clips were, with the video telling it’s own story for the most part.

The track is going to be one of many singles the band plan on releasing over the coming months, with some tracks coming from The Break Up era, and some coming from other stages of the band’s existence, all however will be totally fresh vibes.

The band are now turning their collective attention towards a run of live dates taking place throughout November, hoping to distract the mere mortals from the slings and arrows of their day-to-day lives. Readers can listen to our chat with Stav from Bluejuice below or download it as a podcast soon!
