Adding some Aussie flavour to the pointy end of the Vans Warped Tour Australia 2013 lineup, Parkway Drive will easily be one of the most visited bands at every stop. Vocalist Winston McCall checked in with Music Feeds prior to the madness, filling us in on some of the band’s wild stories from the road, plans for making new music and his thoughts on their rapid rise to the top.
Having been fans of previous Australian incarnation of Vans Warped Tour Australia, the Parkway lads are over the moon to be performing for its return. Already they’ve clocked some serious Warped hours, performing as a key feature of the American edition and will soon head for the UK iteration. Winston fills us in on what we have coming for us, and what Parkway are looking forward to the most.
If you hadn’t noticed just how much Australians were killing it on the international scene, well, you have issues. Winston gives us the run down on why it is that Aussie bands have excelled in his genre, and why it is that so many of the biggest bands on offer lack substance.
Constantly thinking of the future, Parkway are already entering the next album phase, and tell us they’re already putting pen to paper for the critically acclaimed Atlas.
