PREMIERE: Magic Bones Suit Up To Save The Universe In Kooky ‘Hotter Than The Sun’ Video

Melbourne garage punk outfit Magic Bones are flying ever so closely to the sun in the fresh, kooky new video for aptly titled single ‘Hotter Than The Sun’, premiering here today by yours truly.

The spacey (in all senses of the word) clip is – well – out there, with multiple nods to cheesy ’80s videos, green screen action and some questionable special effects.

Explains vocalist Kiri O’Connor, “The ‘Hotter Than The Sun’ video was filmed in a day at DCP Studio, Brunswick. It was directed and edited by our long time collaborator Ben Helweg, and sees us setting off on an exploratory mission towards the sun.

“Soon into the trip, we unexpectedly come into contact with a flying (kitchen) saucer. Will we be able to save the universe from certain peril?” For that, dear viewers, you’ll have to watch to find out.

‘Hotter Than The Sun’ is taken from Magic Bones’ forthcoming debut album, due mid 2017. The band will also be touring the east coast throughout April in support of the single. See dates below.
