A rising Melbourne artist has just unleashed a blockbuster collab with one of the biggest names in heavy music.
18-year-old Filipino-Australian singer-songwriter Daine has teamed up with noneother than Oli Sykes from Bring Me The Horizon for a new single called ‘Salt’.
The destructive and disillusioned emo electro-pop track was born from natural collaboration, with Sykes reaching out to Daine after a longtime mutual appreciation of each other’s work.
It also features electronic production from Adelaide producer Lonelyspeck.
“Salt feels like the articulation of a journey to finding my sounds and aesthetics, and finally landing in a spot that feels right to me,” Daine told The Music. “I’ve found a direction I really enjoy and being able to work with my favourite artists along the way is insane.”
While on social media, Sykes described it as “MY FAVE COLLAB SO FAR SORRY FOR CAPS BUT IM GIDDY.”
“IM CHANNELING SUM PROPA DOWNA EMO VIBES HERE”.
