Here y’are Fairgrounds Festivalheads, the official 2016 set times have just dropped into ya laps.
The fest’s huge-ass bill has been spread over two stages on the Saturday (3rd December), with Jagwar Ma headlining proceedings at 9:30pm and just 15 minute overlaps between clashing acts across the day to keep heartbreak to a minimum.
Meanwhile, a handful of bands will take the main stage on the Friday arvo (2nd December) to usher in the country twilight sans clashes, with King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard headlining at 9:30.
The Fairgrounds 2016 lineup recently expanded with buzzed-about Sydney trio and recent FBi Northern Lights competition winners Middle Kids and a bunch of others, who join previously announced mega-acts like The Drones, Rodriguez, Big Scary and Sarah Blasko.
The regional New South Wales festival will also be boasting an on-site swimming pool, vinyl record fair, old-school field games, a Fairgrounds Record Club featuring fave album-themed chit-chat with Japandroids and Big Scary and a mini-festival just for the kids, featuring Triple J’s Zan Rowe, Julien Baker and Oscar McMahon from Young Henry’s reading kiddie stories.
That’s on top of a vast array of local culinary delights from the likes of Prestige Oyster Company, The Mac Merchants, Gourmet Goons, Bovine & Swine and many more, plus pop-up restaurant Paper Bark Camp.
Due to overwhelming demand from punters travelling great distances for a slice of the action, the fest is also expanding the Rivercamp, with a buttload more tents now on offer.
